IMPORTANT INFORMATION
There Will Be Three Riders' Groups Defined As:
Group 1: Street Group (Limited to 35 Participants) - This group is for street riders with little or no track experience. Passing is not allowed in the corners, and plenty of room must be left when passing on the straights. All riders must demonstrate good riding ability. Experienced riders will be available for help as needed. Two-up riding allowed after the first session.
Group 2: Track Group (Limited to 35 Participants) - This group is for experienced street riders who have the adequate skill level required. Increased speeds and passing only on straights or the outside of turns with extreme caution (more than 3 foot clearance). No passing on the inside and absolutely NO close passing and NO “stuffing”.
Group 3: Advanced Group (Limited to 45 Participants) - This group is for licensed road racers, those who are known to be of advanced skill, or those who have prior permission of the Trackday Coordinator. Very spirited pace, riding is unrestricted, but very close passes, obvious racing, poor sportsmanship, or contact are not permitted.
Required Safety Gear and Technical Inspection Requirements: Riders from all groups are required to have Snell or DOT approved full coverage helmets, full coverage gloves that cover the wrist cuff, and boots that cover ankle and ankle cuffs. Street group riders must have a leather or heavy textile motorcycle jacket and similar pants (no jeans) as a minimum, preferably with armor, and preferably zip-together. Joe Rocket Phoenix jackets and other similar “mesh” or “free air” equipment is not allowed. Track and Advanced group riders must have full coverage leather suits (one piece or zip together two piece suits), preferably with armor. All riding equipment must be in very good condition. This will be enforced very strictly.
The bike must be clean and in good mechanical condition. It must not leak any fluid whatsoever. The bodywork must be attached in a safe manner or removed. The kickstand must be in good working order or it must be removed. License plates must be removed. Mirrors, headlights, taillights, and turn signals must be taped (disconnect lights before taping them) or removed. New condition tires with plenty of tread depth are required. Brakes must operate properly and have plenty of brake pad material. The throttle must be self-closing in all handlebar positions. The chain should be properly adjusted and in good condition. Coolant must be completely flushed and replaced with distilled water (or redline additive and distilled water). The oil fill cap, drain plug, and filter must be safety wired except in the “street” group. Your riding gear will also be inspected prior to the start of the event. In the event of a crash, your bike and gear must be completely re-teched before you are allowed to proceed. Failure to adhere to any tech requirements or procedures at any time will disqualify you from riding in this event, and your money will NOT be refunded. It is your responsibility to check your motorcycle to assure that it will pass our technical inspection. If anything attached to your bike touches the ground or is observed to touch the ground you will be asked to remove the offending part or ride in a manner that will not drag the part.
Rental Leathers: We are trying to develop a Rental Leathers program but do not have one at this time. You are on your own for providing acceptable gear.
